Alexandre Di Pasquale
Alexandre Di Pasquale is a drummer/percussionist known for bringing passion, energy and commitment to any project he is involved in. He is always striving to move forward and accomplish new challenges in his life and his career, while using his energy and motivation for the benefit of others.
After finding his passion playing in local band for festivals in Southern France, his education in music began at the IMFP private jazz music school in France where he spent two years learning at a high intensity jazz drumming with Allain Couffignal, Thierry Lutz, Michel Zenino and Philippe Petrucciani, earning his certificate as professional performer drummer. Alex then came to study in the United States, first at Southern Utah University, under the mentorship of the Dr. Lynn Vartan, where he was active in classical ensembles, world percussion and marching percussion. He then transferred to Citrus College in Los Angeles, where he studied and performed with Alan Waddington, Gino Munoz, Marc Converse, Bryan Taylor, Vonetta Mixson, Bill Hoehne, Ken Edwards, Steve Cotter.
As a performer, Alex has performed at the 2017 festival Marseille Jazz des cinq Continents, in Marseille, France with the saxophone player Guillaume Perret. In the USA, he has performed at the SUU Percussion Festival 2018 with the Percussionist/Educator Fernando Meza, with all SUU performing ensembles, and toured in 2018 with the SUU Wind Symphony in California. In Los Angeles, he has performed with the big band The Blue Note Orchestra, the pop/rock orchestra Nightshift and with the Citrus College Studio Laboratory Band. He has also done studio sessions for projects with Citrus College in collaboration with Spotify.
Currently Alex is a professional drummer, international performer, studio drummer, educator, and composer in France, and is the drummer of the band 2Southern from Atlanta, Georgia.
